Running

As I set foot to the rough cement and feel my body lift from one push of the hip to the next, I feel an exhaustible, yet warming sense of satisfaction. Air drifts through my hair, up my nose, past my cheeks. My body is cold, yet a burning fire of passion inside, motivates me to just keep going. My breathing is fast and my lungs keep a steady rhythm, as oxygen is inhaled and released from my mouth and nose. I love to pass by friendly neighbours who throw me a smile, if lucky a "hello." The feeling of being free to get up and just go, running as fast as I please, with nothing to tell me to stop is just exhilerating! What a pleasure it is to just be alone with myself, when the world around moves and motivates as I
take my final corner...
